UPSC CSE Prelims 2026 Result The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has issued an official press note declaring the list of candidates qualified for the Civil Services (Main) Examination, 2026. https://www.upsc.gov.in/sites/default/files/WR-CSP-2026-RollList-Engl-150626.pdf Key Highlights Parameter 2025 2026 Vacancies Notified 1087 1016 Shortlisted for Mains 14,161 13,343 Shortlisted per Vacancy ~13.0 ~13.1 UPSC has shortlisted 13,343 candidates for the Civil Services (Main) Examination 2026 against 1,016 vacancies . Last year, 14,161 candidates were shortlisted against 1,087 vacancies . What This Suggests 1. Competition Remains Extremely High Around 13 candidates are competing for every vacancy at the Mains stage. The screening ratio remains almost unchanged from previous years. 2.
