PM JANMAN is a government scheme aimed at integrating tribal communities into the mainstream. Implemented by the Ministry of Tribal Affairs in collaboration with state governments and Particularly Vulnerable Tribal Groups (PVTGs), it focuses on 11 critical interventions overseen by 9 line ministries. These interventions include implementing existing schemes in PVTG villages, establishing Van Dhan Vikas Kendras for trading forest produce, and providing off-grid solar power systems and solar street lights to 1 lakh households. The scheme seeks to enhance the quality of life and well-being of PVTGs by addressing discrimination and exclusion while recognizing their unique contributions to national and global development.
